The book of Malachi ends with the description of two groups of people that will respond differently when the day of the Lord comes. One, those who fear the Lord and long for His appearing, will see the "Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings" (Mal. 3:2). The other group, those who do not know or love the Lord, that Day will be a day of "burning like an oven" (Mal. 4:1).
Question for us is this: Which group are you in? And what are you prepared to do about it?
To find the answer to these eternal questions, keep listening.

Today we often forget the condemning indictment God levels against those shepherds of His flock, those pastors of His church, that have forsaken the call and left their first love and followed after the things of this world. We forget God's anger against them, but we see this kind of church apostasy and defection all around us.
So what does God say about a shepherd that cares not for the flock? And, more important, what does God promise to do to those shepherds?
The answer is both chilling and frightening. Keep listening to find out more.

In the last verse of the second chapter of Zechariah we find the chilling statement that God will no longer stay silent while His people, the apple of His eye, are mistreated by others. The sleeping Giant has awakened. Momma bear is ready to protect her cubs. The time for the great awakening is upon us.
"Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused (or, awakened) from His holy habitation!"
In other words, Aslan in on the move! And you'd better be ready.

The first of the eight visions revealed to Zechariah tell a harrowing tale of disappointment and disillusionment to those who are waiting for God to keep His promise. But as you dig deeper into the vision of the Man and the Myrtle trees, you find that God has not failed them but gives them incredible promises and declarations of what their future will be like.
In fact, according to Zechariah 1:13 the Lord answered the questions with "good and comforting words."
I don't know about you, but I could use some good and comforting words from the Lord. Listen and be encouraged from a prophecy to Zechariah that is just as relevant today as it was 2,500 years ago.
The following is a study of Zechariah 1:7-17.

One of the most chilling verses in the book of Matthew is this:
Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
In this verse, the He is Jesus and the there is Nazareth and the truth is that because of their unbelief Jesus was not able to do what He wanted to do among those He loved. He had to cut His revelation to them short because they would not receive what He was offering them. And the results of their unbelief were damning.
Do you think you have ever walked in their shoes? Probably so.
The following is a study on unbelief.

Did you know that in the Revelation there is a command to rejoice in the destruction and damnation of the wicked, the lost? How intolerant of God, our culture would say. Nevertheless, truth is truth:
"Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her."
Kind of flies in the face of the Laodicean, "Your Best Life Now!" crowd, doesn't it?

You could hear their voices, those who cried out from under the altar, those who have been slain because of the word of God and for the testimony of the Lord they had maintained. Their cry and their question was simple.
"How long, O Lord? How long will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"
The answer? Sobering. Frightening.

Some of the most chilling words in all of the Revelation... at least up to this point.
"And the rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see or hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts."
Pretty stupid, if you ask me.

Can you imagine being in so much pain and torment that you longed for death, prayed for death, begged to die? Can you imagine trying to kill yourself, repeatedly, to no avail?
I can't imagine much worse than that, can you?
Well, be warned, that day is coming. And it's coming to all that don't have the seal of God on their forehead.
Why don't you join with us and listen.

On April 26, 1986 at 1:23 in the morning, the reactor number four at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant located in the Soviet Union near Pripyat in Ukraine exploded.
Further explosions and the resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area. Nearly thirty to forty times more fallout was released than Hiroshima.
Do you remember?
You should. You need to.
